A special way for many alumni to make a gift to the Shippensburg University Foundation is to participate in your Class Reunion Project.  Each year, during the Alumni Days celebration in June, members of the 50th Reunion Class present their gift to the SU Foundation for the benefit of Shippensburg University at the Alumni Awards Luncheon.  Participating in the Class Reunion Project is a wonderful way for these alumni to make their reunion even more special while also making a difference in the lives of our current students.

In the past, reunion gifts have gone to support many different areas of the University including student scholarships, construction projects such as the Luhrs Performing Arts Center, or the Unrestricted Alumni Annual Fund which helps support the greatest needs of the University.  Planning and fundraising efforts for a reunion class begin many years before their 50th Reunion, and there are many ways for members of these classes to participate.

Classes that are currently participating in their reunion class gift project are: Classes of 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, and 1966.

Following in the tradition of the classes who came before them, the Class of 1961 presented their 50th Reunion Gift in the amount of $127,510.34.

The Class of 1960 raised funds to support the construction of the H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center.  Specifically, the class was honored by having its name adjacent to the Ticket Office in the Luhrs Center. 

The Class of 1959  raised $96,000 to support the construction of the new entranceway on Prince Street. This magnificent structure blends well with both the new and historic architecture of the University campus and provides a warm welcome to students, alumni, parents, and visitors.
